Take Me Home Country Roads

The national anthem is a song every American has heard - and probably knows most of the words to - but it's not always the music most closely associated with the United States. While the "Star-Spangled Banner" does hold a special place in the hearts of Americans (and is a must at sporting events), mainstream songs like "Born in the U.S.A." and ""God Bless the U.S.A." can be heard in commercials, on the radio, loaded up into playlists, and so many other places. In a way, songs like ""Party in the U.S.A." and "American Pie" feel more like the country's anthem than the "Star-Spangled Banner." They're more relatable, more singable (we know that note that's nearly impossible to hit in the National Anthem, right?), and often reflect aspects of life in the US we see and live today. With that in mind, which songs are the top contenders for America's unofficial national anthem?
