    Okusama ga Seitokaichou!

Okusama ga Seitokaichou!, otherwise known as My Wife is the Student Council President!, is a story about Hayato Izumi whose dream is to become the student council president. However, the smart and popular Ui Wakana has won the election, placing Hayato as the vice president instead. Already mildly annoyed at his loss, he'll have to face another issue shortly after; he must get married to the very woman he lost to. As it just so happens, their parents drunkenly promised that the two would one day be wed, which was something neither of them knew about. Now the two must learn how to get along at school while also being husband and wife. Much like Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?, My Wife is the Student Council President is about a young man placed in very difficult romantic situations.

    Domestic Girlfriend

Natsuo Fujii has been in love with his teacher, Hina, for a long time. However, knowing that she's an older woman who's responsible for his education, he recognizes that the chances of them getting together are slim to none. Thus, he decides it's time to abandon his feelings for Hina and move on by sleeping with another girl. Rui Tachibana is a strange girl who asks Natsuo to sleep with her for the experience; there is no love or real emotion behind the act. Shortly after this event, Natsuo realizes that the woman his father remarried is none other than the mother of both Rui and Hina, the girl he slept with and the woman he loves. Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? is certainly a more comedic series about a teacher and their student, but Domestic Girlfriend is a little more dramatic and certainly has earned its popularity amongst the anime community.

My Matchmaking Partner Is My Student and a Troublemaker

Nano Saikawa is a high school teacher who hasn't ever really thought about marriage before a friend of her father's asks to set up an interview between his son and her. When she meets Souichirou Takamiya, the two seem to really hit it off. After the interview, they spend the day together and he asks for her hand in marriage. Things seem perfect until the very end after the two have slept together. Taking off his glasses, Nano realizes that he's not Souichirou, but his younger brother and her problem student, Souji Kuga. Not wanting anything to do with a student, Nano tries to distance herself, but it may be too late. With such a ridiculous plot, My Matchmaking Partner Is My Student and a Troublemaker is certainly one of those absurd anime series like Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? that you can't help but to laugh at.

    Asa Made Jugyou Chu!

Yuuki Kagami has been placed in a very uncomfortable situation; despite finally becoming an honors student at his dream academy, he's been placed in a girls' dormitory. While the mess up is certainly on the school's part, Yuuki is still at risk for being kicked out since boys are prohibited in the girls' area. The solution is simple, or so it would be for an anime. Dressing up as a girl, Yuuki will attend his school life disguised as a female. Should anyone find out, however, it will risk everything. Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? shows a student placed in a lot of strange situations with a teacher, and this is exactly part of what Yuuki puts up with in Asa Made Jugyou Chu!, but with more of a harem aspect.

    To Love-Ru

Rito Yuuki has a lot of problems as a young high school boy, but his biggest seems to be confessing to the girl he likes, Haruna Sairenji. Things only get more confusing for him when a strange, naked girl crashes into him while he's bathing. Lala Satalin Deviluke is an alien from another planet, but as the crown princess of her people she's to be in an arranged marriage. Desperate to escape her fate, she takes refuge in Rito, hoping that he will marry her so that she can be free. Now stuck with this odd girl who has no idea how Earth works, Rito's life is about to get even more frustrating than it ever was before. If you like the kind of flustered romantic dynamic in Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?, than you'll love To Love-Ru.

    Scum's Wish

Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya may look like a perfect couple, but the reality is that they have always been in love with someone else. Hanabi has yearned for her childhood friend and teacher, Narumi Kanai, since she was young. However, he develops a relationship with a coworker instead. Waiting in the Summer

If you're looking for something that has the same kind of high school humor as Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?, but with less of the student/teacher dynamic, consider watching Waiting in the Summer, which has just as much comedy with an equal measure of drama. Kaito Kirishima was testing out his camera when a strange blue light almost crashed into him. Just before the impact, however, he recalled a hand reaching out to grab him. Now conscious, and back in his bedroom, Kaito decides to create a movie with all of his friends over a summer that they'll never forget. With a supernatural element and plenty of romance to go around, it's definitely a series you'll want on your watch list.

    Seitokai Yakuindomo

Takatoshi Tsuda has just transferred to Ousai Private Academy, which was previously only for girls. Hoping to make a good impression, his plans fail horribly after the student council president stops him for his uniform, causing him to be late for class. As part of her apology, Shino Amakusa asks that Takatoshi join the student council so that they can finally get a male's perspective, since it's something very new to them. Despite not being enthusiastic about the prospect, he ends up being a part of the council and also being thrown into their antics. Surrounded by mostly girls, Takatoshi is in for a humorous journey that he did not sign up for. With a similar taste in humor to Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?, Seitokai Yakuindomo is a perfect series to parallel it.

    Classroom of the Elite

Classroom of the Elite is a light novel adaptation about a school of students created by the government to become future leaders. However, the school's ranking system is anything but fair. There are four classes ranked A through D, and the lower on the alphabet you are, the worse you are treated. The anime follows Kiyotaka Ayanokouji and Suzune Horikita who band together to climb the ranks to be in Class A, and in the process, make as many friends as possible. With great animation and favorable fanservice that never goes too far, Classroom of the Elite is a great next watch.
