Have you ever heard of a virtual idol? While virtual celebrities aren't the norm, they have slowly began to rise in numbers, with virtual Youtubers (called “VTubers”) causing a craze of entertainers using virtual avatars to represent themselves. This popular wave made it to the K-pop scene with the virtual and visual effects company VLAST utilizing the technology to put together the virtual boy group PLAVE. The group consists of five members who all sing, dance, rap, and promote their music, but do so behind virtual avatars. Members Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, and Hamin have been able to effectively showcase their musical talents and abilities flawlessly, even with this unconventional way of promotion and performance. Through their avatars you can see their hard work and dedication, and during their off stage streams fans can connect in them in a fun and entertaining way. It's a unique concept that makes not only the group stand out, but the members and their talents as well. If you consider yourself a PLLI, then we're calling for your help. Cast your votes for who you think is the best out of these virtual idols, and send your favorite PLAVE member soaring to the top!
