PC farming games sure have come a long way since that random FarmVille game you probably played on Facebook back in the day. Since there are a ton of great farming games on Steam (and a lot of mediocre ones as well) this list will rank the very best Steam farm games using criteria like high user scores, sales, and most importantly, your votes. How is a farming game defined for the sake of this list? A good farming simulator game typically includes several key qualities, including realism, an economic system of some sort, management elements in the gameplay, and often seasonal or community events that take place throughout the year. While some games like Farming Simulator 19 are much more on the realistic side, there are plenty of games here that have you playing as cute animals and are more about fun gameplay and cozy aesthetics than anything. There are a few clicker farming games on Steam represented here as well, including Outpath and Capybara Spa (if that second title doesn't entice you from the name alone I don't know what to tell you).
