Milan seal deal with Krosche: compensation for Eintracht, he will be the new head of football
The saga over AC Milan’s new sporting director has finally come to an end.

Milan have found the long-awaited new executive to oversee their sporting operations. After months of leaks and rumours, contacts and speculation have intensified in recent weeks. Gerry Cardinale has chosen Markus Krosche to join the club's management structure.
According to Matteo Moretto, the agreement was finalised today, with Krosche due to start his new role in January.
Agreement reached
Krosche resigned from Eintracht in recent weeks. The German club accepted his resignation but did not terminate his contract, which expires on 30 June 2027. Today, according to Matteo Moretto, Gerry Cardinale has moved closer to landing his top choice. Krosche had already been sounded out in the summer, and an agreement is now in place with the executive for him to take up, barring any surprises, an operational role from 1 January 2027.
Compensation for Eintracht
Krosche has resigned but remains under contract with Eintracht. AC Milan have now agreed to pay the Frankfurt club compensation to release the German executive.
